Preparation

For the dough, the yeast is mixed with 1 teaspoon of sugar in lukewarm milk. Then let the mixture rest for 10 minutes.

After the resting time, flour, sugar, melted butter (no longer hot), myAROMA vanilla, egg and salt can be kneaded in. Tip: the aroma can be mixed with the melted butter beforehand. In this way, the aroma can be better distributed in the dough and no lumps of aroma form.

Pour the dough into a bowl and let it rise covered for 30 minutes. Then cut the dough into 8-10 (depending on the desired size) pieces of the same size. Shape each piece into a round shape and grind like a bun. Place the balls on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper and flatten slightly. Cover with a tea towel and let rise again for 30 minutes.

The donuts are baked in the preheated oven at 175 °C top/bottom heat for approx. 15-20 minutes on the middle shelf. After baking, brush the top and sides of the hot Berliners with the melted butter. Depending on your taste, the butter can also be refined with myAROMA vanilla for spreading. Finally, the homemade jam is warmed up to lukewarm and filled into the still lukewarm donuts from the side with a long spout of a piping bag. Let the donuts cool completely and decorate as you like.
