Beat the sugar, eggs and room-warm margarine or butter in a mixing bowl until creamy. Add the milk or vegetable drink. Stir in the spelt flour together with the baking powder and baking soda. Add the toffee and raspberry flavours to the batter. Lightly grease the waffle iron and pour in the batter in batches.
Sprinkle the toffee-raspberry waffles with a topping of chia seeds, oat flakes, coconut flakes and cocoa nibs, for example, and enjoy with an optional scoop of ice cream.
