Yeast Pastries: Easter Bunny

REcipe

For 8 Bunnies
Preparation time: ca. 2 hours, incl. rest- and baking time

 

INGREDIENTS

500 g Wheat Flour 550

1/2 cube of yeast

250 ml warm milk

75 g sugar

70 g butter

1 egg

35 drops of myAROMA No 66 Rum

pinch of salt


preparation

Mix flour, sugar, yeast, salt. Knead milk, myAROMA Rum, egg, butter under the flour mixture. Knead the mixture for ca. 8 Minutes. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 30-45 minutes. Form the dough into a ball and split it in 8 pieces. 

 

Roll the pieces in 8 separate strings (30cm long). Cut off 2 cm from each. Form the separated parts into balls. Place a ball in the middle of a strand and twist the ends around the ball twice. 

 

Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and let the dough rest for another 20 minutes.

 

Brush with cream or beaten egg and decorate with decor sugar. Bake it in a preheated oven at 180 °C for approx. 25 minutes until golden brown.
